On Saturday, November 16, 2019, Butali Sugar Warriors secured their fourth Kenya Hockey Union (KHU) men's Premier League title, defeating Wazalendo 2-0 at City Park Stadium.

The unbeaten Butali team, led by coach Dennis Owoka, dominated the match, with Constant Wakhura scoring from a penalty corner in the 25th minute and Francis Kariuki finishing it off with a field goal five minutes before the end.

Butali's victory marked their second title in three years, following their wins in 2014 and 2015. They now have 43 points, with two matches remaining against Parklands Sports Club and Greensharks.

Coach Owoka praised his team's solid performance, saying it was their best display in the league. He also expressed his team's dream of winning the league unbeaten, a feat that would make them the first team to achieve it since Armed Forces in 2001.

Butali's young players, including Moses Ademba, Francis Kariuki, Vincent Odhiambo, Amos Barkibir, Constant Wakhura, and Derrick Kuloba, were singled out for their impressive display this season.
