According to Weekly Citizen, the BBI report will be unveiled at Harambee House, a venue considered the center of power in Kenya. This decision comes as a surprise to some, as a section of power players within the presidency were pushing for the report to be received at the State House.
Harambee House has a rich history of hosting significant events, including the 2018 peace agreement between President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga. The two leaders emerged together from the terraces of the Harambee House to address the nation after signing the peace agreement.
Similarly, the late chief mediator Koffi Annan used the same platform during the mediation talks between retired President Mwai Kibaki and Raila following the 2007-08 post-election crisis.
It's also coming out that Uhuru Park is likely to host events that would follow the release of the BBI report as far as drumming up support for the idea is concerned.
Earlier, Weekly Citizen had accurately reported that the release of the highly contentious BBI report would only be done after the concluded Kibra by-election, which has been described by President Uhuru as free, fair, and peaceful.
