Raila Visits Governor Joho at Home After He Falls Ill

Kenyan politician Raila Odinga has visited Governor Hassan Joho at his home in Vipingo, Mombasa, after Joho was hospitalized for malaria on November 7, 2019.

According to Raila, Joho is now recovering well and is expected to be discharged from the hospital soon.

On November 7, 2019, Joho was rushed to Mombasa Hospital after he fell ill with malaria.

"I visited Governor Hassan Joho at his home in Vipingo and wished him a speedy recovery after he fell ill with malaria," Raila said in a statement.

Before his hospitalization, Joho had been attending a public event where he was scheduled to give a speech.

"The governor was in the middle of giving a speech when he fell ill. He was rushed to the hospital and was admitted for treatment," said a spokesperson for Joho's office.
