KDF Officer Arrested After Estranged Lover and Children Disappeared

Meja Peter Mugure, a Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officer, was arrested on November 15, 2019, after his estranged lover, Joyce Syombua, and their two children, Shanice Maua and Prince Michael, disappeared while visiting him at his military base in Nanyuki.

According to reports, Syombua and her children had been visiting Mugure at his base in Nanyuki before they went missing. Their disappearance was reported to the authorities on November 12, 2019, by Syombua's sister, who claimed that Mugure had been ordered by a court to allow Syombua and their children to visit him.

However, Mugure and his wife denied any involvement in the disappearance of Syombua and their children. They claimed that Syombua had been acting on the orders of the court, which had allowed her to visit Mugure and their children.

Police investigations revealed that Syombua and her children had been visiting Mugure at his base in Nanyuki before they went missing. The police also found a phone belonging to Syombua's sister, which had been used to make calls to Mugure's phone.

The disappearance of Syombua and their children has sparked a massive search operation, with the police and the military working together to find them. The case has also raised concerns about the safety of military personnel and their families.
