Vanessa Mdee and Juma Jux's six-year on-again, off-again relationship came to an end earlier this year, with Jux revealing that Mdee was the one who initiated the breakup.
According to Jux, the two had tried to work through their issues, but Mdee ultimately decided she wanted out, leaving Jux hurt and surprised.
Despite their agreement to keep the breakup a secret, Mdee revealed their split to their million followers on Instagram nine months later, prompting Jux to introduce his new Asian girlfriend, Nayika.
When Mdee accused Jux of 'pampering her with fake love' and 'Mapenzi ya Juxx ya kisela,' Jux responded, stating that he didn't understand why Mdee was whining after he moved on, especially since she was the one who initiated the breakup.
On November 16, 2019, Jux spoke out about the situation in an interview with Nairobi News, saying that he respected and adored Mdee, but felt it was only fair for him to move on after her revelations.
As for the rumors that their split was due to religious differences and family pressure, Jux dismissed them, stating that family issues played a minor role in their breakup.
