Eliud Kipchoge Receives KSh 4.1 Million Reward for Breaking Two-Hour Marathon Barrier

On November 16, 2019, Eliud Kipchoge, the four-time London Marathon winner, received a KSh 4.1 million Isuzu D-Max car for breaking the two-hour marathon barrier during the INEOS 1:59 challenge.

Isuzu East Africa had promised to reward Kipchoge with a brand new car if he broke the two-hour marathon barrier, which he effortlessly did.

During the handover event, Kipchoge led a fun race and a tree planting exercise with other participants at the Karura forest.

Isuzu East Africa Managing Director Rita Kavashe lauded Kipchoge for his record-breaking exploits, saying, "Eliud has been our brand ambassador and we have traveled a long journey with him. We decided to support Eliud because we saw we could give him an opportunity to win. In our organization we do not believe in limitations."

Kipchoge is the Isuzu D-Max brand ambassador and was previously gifted with the car as a reward for breaking the marathon record on September 2018 in Berlin.
