Redmi Note 8 Arrives in Kenya on November 25

On November 25, Xiaomi Kenya will unveil the Redmi Note 8, a new smartphone that boasts improved features compared to its predecessor, the Redmi Note 7.

The Redmi Note 8 was unveiled in August and has already been selling in various countries. However, it is set to make its Kenyan debut on November 25 at an event held at the Serena Hotel in Nairobi from 9 AM to 11 AM.

One of the notable improvements in the Redmi Note 8 is its quad-camera setup, which features a 48MP main shooter, an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and another 2MP lens dedicated to macro photography. This allows users to capture shots of objects as close as 2 centimeters.

The phone also features a 6.3-inch 19.5:9 LCD screen with a 1080p resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC, and a 4000mAh battery. The Redmi Note 8 runs MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie out of the box, although a stable update to MIUI 11 has already started rolling out in some markets.

Speaking of MIUI 11, this update is also rolling out to the Redmi Note 7 units sold in the country. The update is arriving as MIUI 11.0.2.0.PFLMIXM and weighs in at 609MB.

The Redmi Note 8 will be available in various colors, including Neptune Blue, Moonlight White, and Space Black. It is expected to be sold in different memory options, including 3GB + 32GB, 4GB + 64GB, and 4GB + 128GB.
