On November 16, 2019, a tragic incident unfolded in Masebula Village, Busia County, where six people lost their lives in a brutal lynching.

The victims were accused of killing a local businessman, Johannes Okoth Aduol, who owned an electronics shop in Bumala.

According to reports, Aduol was killed two weeks prior to the incident, and his body was found at Ligingo, on the border of Busia and Siaya County.

The County Commissioner, Jacob Narengo, and other law enforcement officials, including County Police Commander John Nyoike, Butula OCPD, and OCS, intervened in a meeting to address the matter.

Despite the intervention, no arrests have been made so far, and the six bodies have been taken to the Busia County referral mortuary for further investigation.
