President Uhuru Kenyatta has hailed the Kibra by-election as a peaceful success, marking the first time Kenyans have participated in a violence-free election.
Speaking at a meeting with lawmakers at Sagana State Lodge, Uhuru expressed his joy at seeing communities come together to maintain peace, especially in smaller elections like the one held in Kibra.
He emphasized that the unity between him and opposition leader Raila Odinga was not just for show, but a genuine effort to bring Kenyans together.
Uhuru also expressed his disappointment with leaders who have been more focused on criticizing each other rather than celebrating the country's progress.
He warned that such behavior would not be tolerated and that his administration would continue to focus on developing the country.
Uhuru is expected to visit various counties across the country, starting with Meru County soon.
