On November 15, 2019, President Uhuru Kenyatta expressed his satisfaction with the peaceful Kibra elections, describing it as the 'biggest win' for the region.

According to the President, the handshake between him and his deputy has brought about a new era of unity among Kenyans, allowing them to live together despite political differences.

He emphasized that the handshake is not about future political positions, but about uniting Kenyans and working together for the betterment of the country.

The President also took a swipe at leaders who engage in name-calling and insults, urging them to adopt 'political hygiene' and focus on development.

He jokingly remarked that some people want to inherit him while he is still alive, but he will focus on the present and work with elected leaders to develop the Mt. Kenya region.
