CDC Group Appoints New Leaders for Nairobi and Lagos Offices

On November 15, 2019, CDC Group, a UK government-owned development finance institution, announced the appointment of Seema Dhanani as the leader of its Nairobi Office and Benson Adenuga as the head of the Nigerian office.

Seema Dhanani joins CDC from Mauritius Commercial Bank, where she was the Chief Representative Officer for East and West Africa. She was responsible for the bank's office in Kenya and oversaw governance, reporting, compliance, and strategic client and regulatory coverage across East and West Africa for the MCB Group.

Benson Adenuga joins the firm from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), where he was the Equity Lead for the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) for Sub-Saharan Africa. He brings extensive experience in the financial sector, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa.

CDC Group is focused on emerging markets in South Asia and Africa, with a strong presence in Kenya and Nigeria. The appointments are expected to strengthen the firm's operations in these regions.
