On November 14, 2019, a somber procession made its way to the Lang'ata cemetery in Nairobi, where Churchill Show comedian Njenga Mswahili was laid to rest.
Friends and family gathered to pay their last respects to the late Mswahili, who had been a part of the show since 2013.
Comedian Daniel 'Churchill' Ndambuki led the procession, accompanied by fellow comedians and friends.
Comedian Mwende shared photos from the mortuary and the low-key memorial service, captioning one of them, 'On our way to give our friend and workmate and an amazing comedian a peaceful sendoff Njenga Mswahili, RIP my friend.'
Churchill himself was one of the pallbearers, and he took to Instagram to share his condolences, writing, 'Laying to rest one of our comrades. Njenga Mswahili will be missed dearly, may his soul rest in peace. #RIPNjengaMswahili.'
The late Mswahili's death was met with shock, as he was found dead on November 7, 2019, in Dagoretti South's Ndonyo Market, after allegedly being hit by a train.
Comedian Eric Omondi later revealed that Mswahili had been going through a tough time and was struggling with depression.
