Published on November 15, 2019, a resident of Lucky Summer estate, Denis Kamau, had a harrowing experience with a motorbike rider who took him to a field near Ngomongo police post, where he was robbed of his belongings.

According to Kamau, the rider had agreed to take him to Lucky Summer, but instead, he drove him to the field, where a group of men stole everything he had, including his jacket and shirt.

Another resident, James Mokua, had a similar experience, where he was attacked by a gang while walking to Lucky Summer from Baba Dogo. They beat him up and stole his mobile phone and Sh8,000, which he had withdrawn from an ATM machine.

Locals in Lucky Summer estate have suffered at the hands of the gang, which has converted the field into a hiding point. Many have reported hearing gunshots and finding bodies of thugs who had been shot the previous night.

However, the situation has worsened since the police stopped conducting daily patrols in the estate. Residents fear to get home late, and some have even been forced to produce their job cards to evade the wrath of the police officers.

It has been established that the gang hails from Dandora estate and crosses over to Lucky Summer to cause chaos. Two robbery suspects were killed by detectives this week, but the problem persists.
