Prison Warder Arrested for Scaring KCSE Candidates with Loaded Gun

On November 14, 2019, a prison warder, Joseph Kisilu Muli, was arrested for intruding into Kitui School and scaring students with a rifle.

Muli, attached to Kitui GK Prison, was issued with a G3 rifle number 93010561, loaded with 20 rounds of ammunition, just two hours before the incident.

According to police at the Kitui Police Station, Muli headed to the dormitories where KCSE candidates were sleeping, armed with what resembled a rifle, and his presence scared the students.

Elsewhere, in Buruhache, Wajir county, police officers on patrol stumbled upon suspected Al-Shabaab militants at Borehole area and a fierce gun-fight ensued.

The militants left behind a 1AK 47 rifle of serial number 56-14925725, a magazine loaded with 20 rounds of ammunition, and a patrol bag containing assorted items.
