Stable EMUI 10 Update Rolls Out for Huawei P30 Pro and Mate 20 Pro in Europe

As of November 15, 2019, Huawei has started rolling out stable versions of its EMUI 10 operating system (based on Android 10) for the P30 Pro and Mate 20 Pro in Europe.

At IFA 2019, Huawei confirmed the road map for the EMUI 10 update, which includes seeding the OTA to over 30 devices by Q2 2020. The full update is supposed to first start with the Huawei P30 Pro in Western markets, with the Mate 30 series expected to follow.

Several P30 Pro and Mate 20 Pro owners in Europe have taken to Reddit to announce they’ve received a final version of the software, dubbed 10.0.0.168, which weighs a massive 4.47GB.

Users can check for updates by heading to Settings > System > Software updates or by using the HiCare app.

EMUI 10 is Huawei’s newest operating system, which was first unveiled at its Developer Conference in August. It features a new design that makes it easier to use large devices with one hand, as well as an always-on display market and a simplified camera application.

Other exciting new features include a new UI design with a magazine-style layout, an enhanced dark mode, one-touch screen sharing, GPU Turbo upgrades, faster system performance, improved security, and more.

Before the end of the month, Huawei is expected to push the stable EMUI 10 update for the Mate 20 X, Mate 20 RS Porsche Design, Honor 20 series, as well as the Honor Magic 2 in China. However, the global variants of these devices may have to wait until next month to receive a stable update.
