Wabaiya Kariuki, a 23-year-old Actuarial Science graduate from Daystar University, has been making waves in various fields, including music, fashion, and mental health awareness. In 2018, she represented Kenya at the Global Miss Universe stage.

When asked about her choice of studying Actuarial Science, Kariuki revealed that she had always been passionate about mathematics, but it was a challenge to get accepted into the course due to the requirement of completing A-levels. She eventually got accepted at Daystar University and took on the challenge.

As a model, Kariuki has worked with local brands such as Dhana Vito, choosing to collaborate with those that celebrate her true personality and values. She appreciates brands that allow her to be herself, without compromising her Christian values.

Kariuki is also an advocate for mental health awareness among the youth in Kenya. She believes that many young people are reluctant to seek therapy due to the false perception that it is a sign of weakness. She aims to create a platform where young people can use art to express themselves and discuss mental health issues.

Although she is not currently modelling for any brand, Kariuki's experience representing Kenya at the Global Miss Universe stage was a moment of pride that she will never forget. She believes that every young Kenyan has a gift that can be used to shape the country's future, and encourages them to take action, such as planting trees to conserve the environment.
