On November 15, 2019, the entertainment world in Kenya was left in shock after the sudden passing of Churchill comedian, Njenga Mswahili, whose lifeless body was found on a railway line in Dagoretti. The 31-year-old comedian was laid to rest at Langata Cemetery, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and memories.

As we reflect on his life, it's clear that there's more to Njenga Mswahili than meets the eye. Born in 1988 in Thogoto, Kiambu County, Njenga's early life was marked by a strong family bond. He was the firstborn son to Susan Maria Njoki and David Njoroge, with his mother present at his burial.

Despite his close relationship with his mother, Njenga's father's whereabouts remain unclear. However, it's evident that Njenga's family was a significant part of his life. He had only one sibling, a brother named Simon Kamau Njoki.

Njenga's educational background is also worth noting. He attended Muthiora Primary School before moving on to Kirangari Boys High School and Mutuini High. His academic journey culminated in a KCSE exam in 2006.

Before joining Churchill, Njenga had a diverse work experience. He volunteered at the Red Cross in Karen in 2008 and worked as a Barclays Bank Sales Executive between 2011 and 2012. He also had stints at TBN Family Media and Churchill Raw.
