President Uhuru Kenyatta is set to meet a group of lawmakers from the Mount Kenya region in Sagana, Nyeri, amidst growing backlash against the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
The meeting, which is expected to bring together leaders from the region, has sparked intense political activity within the Kieleweke and BBI camps.
According to The Star, the President will meet with a group of lawmakers who have been vocal in their opposition to the BBI in the Sagana meeting.
Meanwhile, Standard has reported that the meeting was convened to allow the President to address lawmakers who have been following Deputy President William Ruto's lead in opposing the BBI.
Additionally, the newspaper has highlighted the issue of birth control pills, which have been reported to have negative effects on women's reproductive health.
Separately, People Daily has reported on the controversy surrounding a Kenyan who fell from a Kenya Airways plane in the UK in June.
The individual, identified as Paul Manyasi from Kakamega, was reportedly a flight attendant at the time of the incident.
However, his family has since denied the reports, claiming that he was not a flight attendant and that the pictures circulating online are fake.
