On November 14, 2019, a tragic school shooting occurred at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita, California, approximately 40 miles north of Los Angeles.

A 16-year-old boy opened fire on his birthday, resulting in the deaths of two students, one male and one female, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva.

"I'm saddened to report that we have confirmed a total of two fatalities this morning," tweeted Sheriff Villanueva.

Three other students were injured before the suspect shot himself in the head, leaving him in a 'grave' condition, as reported by US media.
