On November 14, 2019, Harambee Stars put aside their off-field drama to deliver a commendable performance in their AFCON qualifier match against Egypt.
The match, played on a neutral ground, saw Egypt take an early lead through Mahmoud Kahraba in the first half. However, Harambee Stars' Michael Olunga, who plays for Japanese side Kashiwa Reysol, brought his team back into the game with a stunning equalizer in the 67th minute.
The 1-1 draw, although a neutral result, will be a welcome one for Harambee Stars' coach Francis Kimanzi, given his team's less-than-stellar performance.
