Belgium's Thibaut Courtois has faced criticism over his form for Real Madrid in recent months, but the goalkeeper remains confident in his abilities.
Speaking ahead of Saturday's Euro 2020 qualifier in Russia, Courtois stated, 'I've shown that I belong among the best in the world. There are perhaps 10 great goalkeepers and little to choose between them.'
He denied that he had started the season in poor form, instead attributing his recent struggles to 'bizarre' goals conceded.
Courtois has conceded only seven goals in La Liga, a statistic he believes proves his form is not as poor as critics suggest.
He has also gone a Belgian record seven matches without conceding for his national team, who have already qualified for next year's European Championship.
Belgium are looking to maintain their 100 percent record in Group I in St Petersburg on Saturday.
