November 14, 2019, marked a somber day for the Kenyan comedy fraternity as they mourned the untimely death of Njenga Mswahili.
Njenga's body was discovered mangled near railway tracks in Dagoretti last week, leaving behind a trail of shock and grief.
Churchill, the host of Churchill Raw, was visibly distraught at the burial site in Langata Cemetery.
Comedians Pay Tribute to Njenga Mswahili ¶
Comedian Chipukeezy blamed the system, media, industry, and corporations for Njenga's death, calling it a 'murder.'
'These depressions were caused by Frustrations that could have been avoided since they are caused by the SYSTEM, the MEDIA, the INDUSTRY and the CORPORATES, in short KENYANS. 'We have to embrace, Support and OWN our OWN. I am GUILTY, you are GUILTY.Thou Shall not Kill! RIP.'
MC Jessy, the host of Churchill Raw, expressed his shock and sadness over Njenga's death, saying, 'When they (comedians) are sad trust me they are sad, We lost Ayeiya and now Njenga and we never saw it coming.'
Comedian Otoyo also mourned Njenga's death, stating that depression took their friend down.
