On November 14, 2019, Sarah Wairimu, a woman accused of murdering her husband Tob Cohen, made a fresh application to the court to access her home in Nairobi's Kitisuru area.

Wairimu, who is out on bail, had been ordered by the court not to access the home due to its status as a crime scene. However, she claimed that the detectives had taken custody of her belongings, including her two dogs, clothes, cars, shoes, and electronics.

She also accused the DCI of illegally possessing the home she shared with her late husband for over two decades.

Wairimu requested access to her home to collect her valuable electronics, furniture, handbags, shoes, alcoholic and soft drinks from the fridges.
