Baraza la Sanaa (BASATA) in Tanzania has imposed a six-month ban on musician Rosa Ree from participating in any music-related activities.

The ban follows the release of her new song 'Vitamin U', which has been widely criticized in Tanzania and Kenya for its explicit content.

According to BASATA, Rosa Ree was found guilty of three offenses, including releasing a video that violates Tanzanian morals and collaborating with a foreign artist without permission.

The musician has already been fined TSh 2 million for the offenses.

It is not clear whether the ban applies only to Tanzania or also to other countries.

Rosa Ree has been in a relationship with Kenyan musician Timmy Tdat, who is also her collaborator.
