Huawei Launches Highly Anticipated KSh 31k Huawei Y9s Smartphone in Kenya ¶
On November 14, 2019, Huawei Mobile Kenya launched the highly anticipated Huawei Y9s smartphone in the Kenyan market, priced at KSh 31,999.
Speaking at the launch, Huawei Mobile Kenya country president, Steven Li expressed confidence that the new phone will be sold out by Christmas.
"We are delighted to introduce you again a game changer in our Y series, this comes months after the launch of Y9 Prime 2019 that has seen an impressive growth in terms of market share. We are confident that in partnership with our retail stores across the country as well as our partners such as Jumia Kenya and Lipa Later we will sell well before we close for Christmas," Li said.
The Huawei Y9s features a pop-up camera and a 6.59-inch full view display, giving the user a truly border-less viewing experience. The phone also uses stylish colours and unique textures to present a truly attractive handset.
"The standout feature is an ultra-wide angle, AI Triple Camera with a 48MP Main Camera for outstanding photographic capabilities. Inheriting Huawei’s technological strength in low-light photography users can take high-quality photos with sharp details. With these remarkable features, the HUAWEI Y9s offers excellent performance and user experience in the smartphone segment," the company’s country president added.
Pre-orders for the phone will begin on Friday, November 22, and consumers will get free wireless headphones for every pre-order made.
The Huawei Y9s will be available in the market at the end of the month. The phone is designed for consumers who want a high-quality smartphone with impressive features.
