Kenyan Debut for Huawei Band 4 and Band 4e ¶
At a recent event, Huawei unveiled its latest smartphone and showcased its wearable devices, including the Band 4 series. The Huawei Band 4 and Band 4e made their Kenyan debut alongside the Y9s smartphone and will be available for purchase from later this month.
The Huawei Band 4, announced just a few weeks ago, tracks daily activities, workouts, and heart rate, while the Band 4e offers an affordable entry point to the world of wearables at Kshs 3,200.
The Band 4 features a 0.96-inch display, 6-day battery life, and additional features like finding one's phone and using the Band 4 as a remote camera shutter. It will be priced at Kshs 4,700.
On the other hand, the Band 4e can be detached from its stylish wristbands and attached to clothing or shoes using a 'clothing buckle.' It also features a basketball performance tracker and can be used as a mobile phone finder. Its battery life is twice as long as the Band 4, lasting up to 12 days.
Both wearables have a rating of 5 ATM and require devices they're paired with to be running on Android 4.4 or newer versions.
As for other wearable devices and accessories, Huawei announced several at IFA 2019, including the Watch GT 2, FreeLace Bluetooth earphones, and FreeBuds 3. These devices are set to become available in the country before the end of the year.
