On November 3rd, a disturbing incident occurred at a home along Juja Road in Nairobi, leaving a woman with a severe injury.

According to the police, John Wafula, a driver, allegedly cut off his wife Caroline Auma's left ear after accusing her of cheating.

The incident unfolded after the couple returned home from a night out at a city centre club, where they had been drinking until 3am.

Wafula allegedly accused Auma of having sex with other men at the club, and in a fit of rage, he grabbed a sword and cut off her ear.

Auma managed to grab the sword and throw it away, but Wafula ordered her to clean herself and go to sleep.

However, Auma feigned sleep and waited for Wafula to fall asleep before escaping and reporting the matter to the police.

Wafula was arrested, arraigned in court, and released on a Sh20,000 cash bail. His case is set to be heard on March 2020.
