On November 14, 2019, Sarah Wairimu, out on bail in connection with the murder of her husband Tob Cohen, made a fresh application to the court seeking access to her Nairobi home.
Wairimu, who has been battling a court case over the murder, claimed that the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) had taken custody of her personal belongings, including her two dogs, clothes, cars, shoes, and electronics.
She also accused the DCI of illegally possessing the home she shared with her late husband for more than two decades.
Wairimu requested access to her home to collect her valuable electronics, furniture, handbags, shoes, alcoholic and soft drinks in the fridges, as well as her car, registration number KBW 171G.
