Francis Baraza, a seasoned tactician, has taken on a new challenge as the head coach of Tanzanian side Biashara United Mara, effective immediately.
Baraza's departure from Chemelil Sugar, who are struggling at the bottom of the Kenya Premier League, comes after a tumultuous tenure marked by a winless streak since the start of the new season.
He joined Chemelil Sugar in May 2018, following his dismissal as assistant coach at Tusker, where he was working alongside Ugandan Sam Timbe, who was the head coach at the time.
Baraza has a wealth of experience, having coached Muhoroni Youth, Sony Sugar, and Western Stima in previous seasons.
His appointment at Biashara United Mara comes as the team looks to improve their results in the league, currently sitting 17th with only two wins in 10 games.
Baraza will take charge of his first game as the team's new coach when they host Mtibwa Sugar on November 24, marking the resumption of the league after the international calendar.
