On November 14, 2019, six street children from Eldoret were selected to represent the town in a two-day taekwondo tournament.

The children, identified from various street children's bases in Eldoret, had been in a training camp for two months, where they were trained and embraced the sport.

North Rift Tae Kwon do founder Jack Ratang launched the project in Eldoret, aiming to use taekwondo to help the children reform and integrate into functional families.

The tournament was scheduled to take place on Saturday and Sunday.
