On September 10, 2019, Sarah Wairimu claims that DCI officers, led by George Kinoti, took away her personal belongings, including clothes, cars, shoes, electronics, and dogs, from her house in Farasi lane, near Lower Kabete.
According to court documents filed by Wairimu's lawyer, Philip Murgor, Kinoti's actions were a clear breach of the Constitution, which states that a person should only be charged after an investigation has been concluded.
Wairimu also raised concerns that the DCI has not provided any documents in court as proof that her house was protected, and that she has been relying on friends for basic items due to her loss of income.
“My client has lost a significant source of income and she is only capable of meeting her subsistence needs,” said Murgor.
Wairimu is seeking to have access to her home, which she claims is being poorly cared for by Kinoti, and is worried about her home's security.
