Published on November 13, 2019, the Tuskys Cross Country race has undergone a significant transformation, rebranding itself as the Tuskys Great 10k Wareng Half Marathon. The 13th edition of the event is set to take place on November 24.

The revamped event will feature various races, including the 21km, 10km, and 5km. According to Tuskys CEO Dan Githua, the changes were made to encourage more participants to join the event.

"The format is changing, and we're improving it by making it a road race, a 10km road race going through Eldoret that makes it more visible and allows us to have more participants," Githua explained during the launch at the Tuskys head office.

The event is expected to attract over 5,000 participants, with the race starting outside Tuskys Zion branch and ending at Tuskys Eldoret Centre Branch in Eldoret. Athletics Kenya president Jackson Tuwei expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating that it will provide a platform for new athletes to emerge and for the country to nurture talents.
