On November 8th, 2019, a pregnant employee of the Kiambu County Assembly was allegedly assaulted by Ndenderu MCA Solomon Kinuthia Wambui at the County Assembly precincts.

Published on November 13th, 2019, the incident has led to Kinuthia's arraignment in a Kiambu Court, where he faces charges of assault and damage to property.

During the hearing, the lawyer for the accused applied for the case to be deferred, awaiting the hearing of the same by the County Assembly Powers and Privileges Committee. However, the prosecutor, the lawyer for the complainant, FIDA, and LSK opposed the application, arguing that the complainant is an employee of the assembly and not a member.

Notably, this is not the first time Kinuthia has been involved in controversy. On March 2nd, 2019, he attacked Deputy Speaker Philip Mubea with a chair armrest during deliberations on the Kiambu supplementary budget.

He was arrested on November 11th, 2019, and released on a police cash bail of Ksh 30,000.
