On November 13, 2019, a group of anti-abortion activists marched at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi, Kenya, to protest what they claimed was an anti-abortion agenda being promoted by delegates attending the International Conference on Population Development (ICPD).
The protesters, led by Anne Kioko of CitizenGo, carried dolls resembling infants smeared with red paint and dumpsters to demonstrate their opposition to abortion.
According to Kioko, the protesters' actions were a way of denouncing the conference:
