On Tuesday, November 12, 2019, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp made a discreet trip to South Africa, sparking curiosity among fans and the media.

Contrary to initial reports suggesting he was in the country for official business, sources indicate that Klopp's visit was purely for pleasure.

As the runaway leaders in the English Premier League, Liverpool's manager has been under immense pressure to deliver the team's first Premier League silverware in three decades.

During his visit, Klopp was spotted at the Cape Town International airport, where he was warmly received by excited airport staff.

One of the highlights of his trip was a meeting with Springboks captain Siya Kolisi, who played a pivotal role in South Africa's rugby World Cup triumph.

Proteas Test skipper Faf du Plessis also had the opportunity to catch up with Klopp, sharing the news with his 1 million Instagram followers.

"About last night... When your bro @siya_kolisi_the_bear has a serious man crush moment when he meets one of his heroes; very impressive man. Get why his players love him so much. I'm a fan as well now," du Plessis posted on Instagram.

It's worth noting that Klopp has been a long-time patron of the Joy is Round charity, which he has supported since 2017, donating billions of funds to the organization.
