On November 13, 2019, Unilever announced the appointment of Nils Andersen as its new chairman, succeeding Marijn Dekkers who stepped down from the position.

Mr. Dekkers will remain on the board as a non-executive director, allowing for a smooth transition.

Nils Andersen brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously served as CEO at Maersk and Carlsberg. He also serves as chairman of Dutch paint company, Akzo Nobel, and is a member of Unilever's audit committee.

Unilever is a British-Dutch multinational consumer goods company with headquarters in London, United Kingdom, and Rotterdam, Netherlands. The company's diverse product portfolio includes food and beverages, cleaning agents, beauty products, and personal care products.

As one of Europe's largest companies, Unilever is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is valued as the seventh most valuable company in Europe.
