Published on November 13, 2019, Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham Hotspur side has struggled to find consistency this season, with just three wins from their opening 12 league games.

As reported by The Telegraph, a defeat to West Ham in their upcoming London derby could raise serious questions over Pochettino's future as the team's manager.

Spurs' poor start to the season has been well-documented, with the team stuttering to a 1-1 draw against Sheffield United last Saturday.

Despite Pochettino's claims that the team is undergoing a 'painful rebuild' after their run to the Champions League final last term, the Argentine boss may not be given the time to see out the remaining three years of his contract.

According to reports, it would cost chairman Daniel Levy around £12.5 million to sack Pochettino, who penned a new five-year contract in May.

In a recent interview, Pochettino hinted that he might not be given the time to continue what he considers to be a rebuilding process at the club.

"I think you can see that yes, we need to find the balance," he said. "We are building a team during the season, while competing in the Champions League and Premier League, the toughest league in the world, and always that is dangerous, this type of situation can happen. You expect better results than you get. Of course we are in a process to build and we'll see if we have time to build what we want."
