On July 2nd, 2019, a tragic incident occurred when a Kenyan man, Paul Manyasi, fell off a plane at Heathrow Airport. The incident has left many confused, especially after his alleged family denied that he is their son.
According to reports, Paul Manyasi's frozen body fell into a garden from the landing gear of a Kenya Airways plane. It is believed that he sneaked into the wheel at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi.
Isaac Manyasi, the alleged father of the stowaway victim, has come forward to claim that his son is not dead, but rather in remand. He made this statement in an interview with KTN, sparking further confusion in the case.
Some details have led investigators to conclude that Cedric Shivanji and Paul Manyasi are one and the same person. Cedric's social media profiles show that he studied at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) and attended Tande High School. He also claims to be from Kakamega, just like Isaac Manyasi.
The photos used by Sky News to identify Paul Manyasi are the same photos on Cedric's social media profiles. This has raised questions about the true identity of the stowaway victim.
Colnet Limited, the cleaning company contracted to offer services at JKIA, has distanced itself from knowing Paul Manyasi. In a statement, Chege Kariuki, Managing Partner of Colnet Limited, said that all their employees have access tags and are accounted for at the end of every shift. They have confirmed that they do not have, and have never had, Paul Manyasi as an employee.
It is unclear at what point Paul Manyasi died during the eight-and-a-half-hour flight to Heathrow Airport. The incident has sparked a heated debate about the true identity of the stowaway victim.
