Published on November 13, 2019, a controversy has erupted in the Kenyan music scene involving Tanzanian musician Harmonize and Magix Enga, the Kenyan beat king.
Magix Enga has accused Harmonize of stealing a beat he created for the song 'Dundaing', which featured King Kaka and Kristoff.
Magix Enga took to social media to express his concerns, saying, '@harmonize_tz Nakuona sana bro? Dundaing Refix @thekingkaka @kristoffmwb??? 4M Views on YouTube.'
He also warned Harmonize to pull down the song within a week, stating, 'like nothing happened. Harmonize I got some free beats for you bro. I am giving you one week to pull down the song otherwise I will do it myself.'
Magix Enga emphasized that this is not the first time such an incident has occurred, but he is determined to take a stand this time, saying, 'this shit has happened before but this time things will be different. I am not going to allow that to happen in the 254.'
