On November 13, 2019, a dramatic incident unfolded at Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), where a stowaway, Paul Manyasi, fell off a Kenya Airways Boeing 787 aircraft and landed in Offerton Road, South London.

Colnet Limited, a cleaning company contracted to offer services at JKIA, has since disowned Manyasi, stating that he was not an employee of the company.

According to a statement by Chege Kariuki, Managing Partner of Colnet Limited, the company had provided all its employees' records and information to the investigative authorities, which confirmed that there was no employee by the name Paul Manyasi.

Colnet emphasized that for an employee to work in the restricted areas of the airport, they require a special pass, which is only issued after thorough vetting by the KAA authority. The company stated that all its employees are accounted for without failure at the end of every shift, and they can confirm without a doubt that they do not have, and have never had, Paul Manyasi as an employee.

However, a woman who claimed to be in a relationship with Manyasi alleged that he was employed by Colnet. She stated that when she called his phone, it was off, and when they came in the morning the following day, the supervisor told them that there was someone missing.

When shown a computerized photo of Paul, she said, 'They look alike, but Paul wasn't dark – not dark – but the face resembles Paul.'
