Published on November 13, 2019, Joshua Kutuny, the vocal Cherangany MP, has been making waves in the political scene with his possible entry into Nairobi politics.

According to sources, Kutuny's ties with the presidency and his dalliance with the Kieleweke wing of Jubilee and the ODM party may have prompted this decision.

There are claims that Kutuny may be eyeing the Langata MP seat, currently held by Nixon Korir, a close ally of DP William Ruto.

ODM has vowed to recapture the seat in 2022, following their victory in the Kibra by-election.

At the ODM thanksgiving rally in Kibra, Kutuny's appearance was seen as a covert announcement of his entry into Nairobi politics.

“This sitting room which belongs to Raila… If I decide to run, I talk to the people, between Nixon and me, who stands a better chance of winning it? (Hii sitting room ya baba hii… Mimi nikisimama, nitupe ngeli, mimi na Nixo, nani atapata mapema),” Kutuny said on Sunday.
