Published on November 13, 2019, a popular article sparked a conversation about the perceived differences in romantic behavior between Luo and Kikuyu men.

One of the key reasons for this disparity lies in the way each group introduces their partners. Kikuyu men often refer to their wives or girlfriends as 'Mwene Nyumba,' meaning 'owner of the house.' In contrast, Luo men use affectionate terms like 'Jaber, Aswito,' or 'yadh chunya' (yaani, the medicine of my heart).

Women, regardless of age, appreciate being called beautiful names, and this practice is a testament to the Luo men's romantic nature.

Another significant difference is the way each group approaches spending on their partners. Kikuyu men tend to prioritize financial security and investing, whereas Luo men are known to spoil their women, often at great expense.

According to rumors, Luo men's weakness is making their women happy, no matter the cost. This willingness to splurge on fine things is a key aspect of their romantic behavior.

When it comes to intimacy, Kikuyu men are often criticized for being 'poor' between the sheets. This is attributed to their diet, which includes mashakura, a food item that may not be as libido-boosting as other options. In contrast, Luo men's diet includes mrenda, omena, brown ugali, fish, and nuts, which are believed to have a positive impact on their romantic lives.

Lastly, Kikuyu men are often hesitant to engage in Public Display of Affection (PDA), whereas Luo men are more open and affectionate in public.
