Postpartum depression is a serious issue that affects many mothers worldwide. Diana Marua, wife of gospel singer Bahati, recently shared her personal experience with the condition after the birth of her daughter Heaven.

According to Diana, she struggled with depression despite having a supportive husband and nanny. She attributed her condition to exhaustion and the constant crying of her newborn.

"When I got Heaven, that was the worst time of my life. I got post-partum depression. I had a husband and a nanny," Diana said in a video shared on her Instagram page.

She also mentioned that her husband's busy schedule contributed to her depression, as he was often away and unable to provide moral support.

"The support system is key. My hubby started being busy, he was coming home late and had early mornings. You've done everything and the baby is still crying," Diana added.

She urged women who have battled postpartum depression to speak up and seek help, emphasizing that it's not a joke.

"Let's talk postpartum depression and challenges we face as mothers when it comes to breastfeeding our babies. It's funny that people who haven't gone through this journey don't understand or seemingly get surprised about how breastfeeding is like reporting to work and it's exhausting!" Diana wrote on her Instagram page.
