On November 13, 2019, a bitter feud between Ugandan music stars Rema Namakula and Pia Pounds came to light, with Pia Pounds accusing Rema Namakula of sabotaging her music career.
According to Pia Pounds, Rema Namakula was never supportive of her signing with Eddy Kenzo's record label, Big Talent, and instead made false allegations about her relationship with Kenzo.
Pia Pounds revealed in an interview with BBS TV that Rema Namakula's insecurity led her to believe that she and Eddy Kenzo were involved in a sexually intimate relationship, which ultimately led to her being 'on the outs' with the label.
'I had a dream to be a continental star when Eddy Kenzo signed me under his label but it didn't come to pass,' Pia Pounds said. 'I ended up quitting Big Talent and it is now 10 months.'
Rema Namakula and Eddy Kenzo were in a long-term relationship before it ended, with Eddy Kenzo citing a divine intervention as the reason for their breakup.
