On November 12, 2019, Football Kenya Federation (FKF) and Betika unveiled a Sh90 million sponsorship deal in Nairobi. The partnership will benefit the National Super League (NSL) teams.

Each of the 20 teams in the NSL will receive Sh750,000 per season, and Betika will also provide key football equipment such as balls and nets.

Additionally, Betika will be the sole and official grassroots football partner for FKF, with Sh45 million allocated for grassroots football activities across the country.

John Mbatiah, Betika's Commercial Head, stated: 'This partnership confirms our commitment to investing in the community through sports, arts, and culture, with football being a key focus.'

He added: 'Through this, we aim to improve the standards of the game as we nurture talent both at the grassroots and national level. We also believe we can influence positive change among the youth through creating an atmosphere of talent and skills development in sports.'

FKF President Nick Mwendwa praised the sponsorship, saying it came at a crucial time when the federation was struggling to run the league due to financial constraints.

He noted: 'Today we mark yet another milestone by launching a partnership for our NSL clubs, which we believe will go a long way towards not only easing the clubs' financial obligations but also increasing the leagues' monetary incentive.'

Betika has also launched the Betika na Community Cup, with the first tournament held in Machakos on November 3, and plans to roll out similar community investment programs in all 47 counties.
