On a fateful day in mid-2019, a tragic incident occurred at the Heathrow Airport in London, where a Kenyan stowaway, later identified as Paul Manyasi, fell to his death from a Kenya Airways plane.

Manyasi, a 29-year-old airport employee, had been contracted by Colnet, a cleaning firm at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), earning approximately Ksh.9,000 a month.

According to Sky News, Manyasi's body was discovered after he fell from the plane's undercarriage, which was a Boeing 787, minutes before landing.

Manyasi's colleagues and friends revealed that he had been missing since June, and his supervisor had demanded secrecy until they had proof of his death.

Patrick, Manyasi's roommate in Mukuru Kwa Njenga, shared that the deceased had hinted at leaving the country to seek better opportunities.

Manyasi's body had spent eight hours at 37,000ft (11,277m), where oxygen levels are thin and the cold is extremely cold, before plummeting to his death.
