As of November 12, 2019, the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) announced a nine-day closure of a section of the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway at Mlolongo area to allow for ongoing road construction.
The closure, which will last until November 20, 2019, is necessary to enable the installation of the deck of the footbridge in Mlolongo town.
Motorists traveling to Nairobi and Mombasa have been advised to use the provided diversions as directed by the signs and traffic marshals.
