Published on November 12, 2019, singer Akothee has shared a powerful message with single mothers who prevent their children from relating with their fathers.
According to Akothee, both partners in a relationship should take responsibility when things go south, and the woman should not make the child pay by denying him the love of a father.
Akothee, who has five children, including three girls from the same father, shared her own experience with the father of her children, with whom she separated a few years after they were born.
Despite facing financial difficulties and struggling to make ends meet, Akothee chose not to despise her children's father for her misfortunes.
'I have raised my children knowing their father is alive, loved and respected even in his absence,' Akothee said. 'I have never allowed the bitterness of single motherhood overwhelm me.'
Akothee emphasized the importance of forgiveness and respect for family values, even when relationships end. 'A child has only one biological father and one biological mother,' she said. 'Take your love triangle elsewhere and raise your children in peace without putting or subjecting your children to hate their father/mother.'
