Kenyan volleyball star Janet Wanja has made headlines with her recent engagement to Italian boyfriend Giulio Calauti, as announced on her Facebook page on Tuesday, November 12, 2019.
Wanja, a setter for the Kenya Pipeline, has been dating Calauti for over a year and has been learning Italian to show her commitment to their relationship.
She recently posted a birthday message to Calauti, expressing her gratitude and love for him, saying, 'I thank God for blessing you yet another year to celebrate. My prayer is He keeps watching over you as He Always Has. Grazie mio cuore (thank you my heart) for always being there for me and loving me in waits I could never have imagined.'
Wanja's engagement comes as a triple celebration for the volleyball star, who recently helped the national women's volleyball team win the African Games title in Morocco and landed a lucrative endorsement deal with a betting company.
