On October 28, 2019, the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority launched an audit to assess the compliance levels of Silverstone Air, a move that was prompted by a series of incidents that nearly led to accidents.
One of the incidents involved an aircraft flying from Lodwar to Nairobi diverting to Eldoret International Airport due to a mechanical problem with its landing gear.
On November 12, 2019, the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority grounded one fleet of Silverstone Dash 8 for seven days over safety concerns.
